The Alpha Xi Delta Atlanta North Metro Alumnae Association is extremely excited to share with you some of the things that are going on in the world of Alpha Xi Delta nationally and locally. For the 2020-2021 year, we were awarded the Ruth Simmons James Alumnae Association Excellence Award, and we have another year filled with a variety of socially distant activities to offer you this year.
Our members (YOU) are our top priority. We want to ensure that you stay connected and supported through this difficult time we are facing in 2020. Continuing to maintain your Alpha Xi Delta connections and support systems within our area is an important part of building strong relationships both professionally and personally. If you’re just looking for some fun and the opportunity to socialize and learn with sisters, please see our list of events on the next page. All our events for 2020 will be held via Zoom and we hope to see you at as many events that are convenient for you.
There are also various opportunities to support our local college chapters. They are always looking for volunteers to come out and help them get ready for recruitment and other events throughout the year. If you’re unable to volunteer, please consider donating to collegiate chapters to help their continued success.
If you're looking for mentors or an opportunity to be a mentor, check out The Empowerment Network. It is open to any dues-paying alumnae and provides opportunities to connect with sisters all over the country. Whether you’re an alumna looking to share your perspectives and advice with current collegians, or an alumna looking for a mentor to move to the next stage in your career or life, The Empowerment Network (TEN) is for you. To sign up or find out more information about the program check out this link: https://mentoring.alphaxidelta.org. Some other great resources available through the National Fraternity, as an alumna, are the Wellbeing Challenges and are related to the five elements of wellbeing: Purpose, Community, Financial, Physical, and Social. These challenges are released in February, April, June, August, October, and December. I encourage everyone to check the link out because it’s a great way to embolden your personal development: https://www.alphaxidelta.org/alumnae-programs.
If you haven't paid your dues, they are $40 for the whole year. $25 of that goes directly to Alpha Xi Delta Headquarters to support programs like Clear Vision of Life, The Empowerment Network, and the colonization of new Alpha Xi Delta chapters all over the country. You can pay your dues by check by mailing them to Amy Jones (Financial Vice President) at 702 Meadowbrook Lane NE, Marietta GA 30060. You can also pay your dues through Venmo or Google Wallet by filling out the membership form. For anyone having trouble paying your dues, please reach out to myself or Amy to discuss a hardship option for this year.
If you have any questions, feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to hearing from you!
Stay safe and healthy!
President, Atlanta North Metro Alumnae Association
